    No Middle Ground is a simulation of the Syrian Offensive (Operation Badr) at the beginning of the Yom Kippur War. The Syrians were attempting to breakthrough to the highly populated Israeli territories to the west, as well as drawing Israeli air and ground forces from their Egyptian allies offensive in the Sinai. The game is intended to be an easy-to-learn game suitable for novices, as well as a challenging and fun contest for veteran grognards.The 11 x 17' map depicts the Golan Heights at 4 km per hex The 168 counters represent Israeli battalions and Syrian and Arab-allied units brigades.Being updated by Lock 'n' Load Publishing (2007/2008):No Middle Ground is an operational simulation of decisive battles of the Yom Kippur War. Units represent battalions, brigades, and task forces. The game includes three scenarios, each with its own map and counters. In the Operation Badr scenario, the Syrians were attempting to breakthrough to the highly populated Israeli territories to the west, as well as drawing Israeli air and ground forces from their Egyptian allies offensive in the Sinai. Operation Shocktroop scenario covers the Israeli five day counteroffensive that hurled the Syrian invaders out of Israel and took the Israeli forces to the gates of Damascus. Players can also link these two scenarios to game the entire campaign for the Golan in 1973. The Battle of Chinese Farm scenario is a simulation of the final Israeli Offensive in the Sinai during the War of Atonement. A little over a week earlier the Egyptian Army crossed the canal in a daring and successful attack that inaugurated the conflict. Twice before the Israelis had counter-attacked the dug-in Egyptians, only to be driven back with high losses. The goal of the attack was to cross over to the west bank of the canal to destroy the SAM 2 missile batteries that protected the defending Egyptian ground forces from Israeli air strikes, as well as cut off the Egyptian 3rd Army to the south.No Middle Ground is an easy-to-learn game suitable for novices, as well as a challenging and fun contest for veteran grognards.
